People haven’t been coming to our dental office for over 35 years because they have to—rather, they know they can expect the absolute best care that utilizes the latest dental technology. Dr. Allison and Dr. Halpert are constantly doing research and upgrading our facility so we can continually improve our patient experience while saving people a tremendous amount of time in the process. Read on below to get a preview of some of the instruments we’ll use at your next appointment!
Our intraoral camera is a small, handheld device that fits comfortably into the mouth and allows us to take high-resolution images of the teeth, gums, and hidden parts of the oral cavity that normally can’t be seen with the naked eye. By displaying these images on a nearby monitor, we’re able to get a much better look at the mouth compared to a traditional visual exam, allowing us to catch potential problems even sooner and take care of them before a patient even notices them!
To help us achieve optimal results, our dental office is equipped with an all-digital x-ray system. In addition to capturing much sharper images and taking less time to develop compared to traditional film, they also expose our patients (and our team!) to 90% less radiation! These digital images are also much simpler to store than physical ones, making them easy to reference so we can accurately monitor long-term trends in someone’s dental health.
